Firsts... (6 months)

First touch of grass!

Caden just turned 6 months old and today he had his 6 month well-check. At 19 pounds, 5.5 ounces he was in the 75-90th percentile for weight and in the 90-95th percentile for height measuring 28 inches long. He is a big boy! It's hard to believe how fast he is growing, it really does go by so quickly. Over the last month he started rolling and scooting all over the place, he can actually get up on his knees but he hasn't figured out what to do with his arms! He is sitting up but is still pretty wobbly, no sudden moves or he's down. We started solids at 4 months so by now he has had oatmeal, sweet potatoes, carrots, squash, green beans, peas, pears and prunes. He is still breastfeeding and eats solids 2-3 times a day. For a while I was secretly a little worried cause he didn't talk much but in the last three weeks he has started saying dadadada, babababa, blah blah... He loves to watch his sister, he thinks she is so funny and I love watching them interact with each other. Chloe is dying for him to play with her. When she saw his 4 band aides today she said "Oh no baby Cay-don has boo-boo's" I told her that he went to the doctor and had to get shots. She wanted to know if they hurt and if she could kiss them. It was so sweet and she loves him so much. I feel so blessed to have them both. Happy 6 months little dude, mommy loves you always...
